Music news - 20th November

Hello!

Some wonderful concerts have taken place in recent weeks. The first was the piano recital. A packed audience heard many pianists perform and they were delighted with the results. Many thanks to everyone who helped prepare students.
Saturday saw the Faure concert at All Saints involving Take Note as well as some of the 'senior' singers. It was a fantastic evening, and came together on the night so very well. Beth and Simeon sang in such a mature way it was inspiring. So many of our team took part or helped, and a huge thank you to everyone. Congratulations as well to Debbie for all her work putting it together, and to Sue for the support.

On Tuesday we have the Autumn Concert. Please ensure, if involved, you know what is happening!

A reminder that GCSE performances should be recorded in the coming couple of weeks. I am arranging times for students who need an accompanist. Year 11 are on study leave for the last two weeks of term, so lessons will have to be carefully planned round, or missed out until the start of next term. The timetable is shown below.

Weds 30th November. Likely to be a very difficult day. No firm plans have been announced in school, but it is likely that there will be major disruption. Please plan for no teaching, and I may organise team meetings instead. There is to be a march through Hertford as well. We are also restricted as to the activities in school that we can do. More details as soon as I have them.

I am going to try to catch up with everyone before the end of term, and will send a time when I hope you can be free. It is to see how things are going and to spend more time chatting than in a hurry in the corridor!

Friday is the occasional day.

Have a great week

Mark
