Music News - 7th November

Hello!

This week, some Year 12s are out on the Geography field trip. Names have been publicised, but they should have told you.

Wednesday. Year 10 have a Maths exam (along with a few Year 11s). They are involved in this all day, and will not be in school during periods 1 and 2.  I reaslise this is late notice, but we have only just been told about their movements on the day.

Tuesday 22nd - concert day. Here are the plans for the day.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Coaches will be well in advance of these rehearsals. It is planned so that staff do not have to be at the Civic Hall all day, and only for their rehearsals. I am also keeping a tight watch on when the students are at the hall, as we know there are several who like to stay to 'help out', missing lessons. Not possible, so please remind them! Those who teach can plan lessons round this, allowing for the coach time as well (generally 45 mins before). Concert Band will stay down there afterwards, or go home individually.

If you have not submitted your programme items, please do so below by Tuesday this week, using the form below. Should you have any questions, ask me fairly swiftly please.

Letters are available for students, and full details, including the strict dress code, are in the parents newsletter.

"All students need to be back at the Civic Hall in the evening by 6.40pm wearing their black music polo shirts. These are now available from the music office priced at £10. Black skirts, trousers and footwear should be smart and appropriate, and girls must wear knee length skirts or trousers please."

GCSE music students are being chased by me about their performances. Please chat about them again this week. I need most by the end of November, if at all possible!

Have a great week, and thanks for all your hard work.

Mark
