Hello!
Thanks to everyone for a great week last week. Lessons started promptly and students seemed happy! Ensembles seemed to go well. Do please keep nagging the students and if practice is not being completed, let me know! Also, don't forget to have your planning sheets underway. If you require support, see me, Debbie or Clare.
The Child Protection training session planned for October has now moved. This is due to the fact we are apparently not allowed to complete it too far in advance of the end of our 3-year cycle. So, it will be at another time, possibly March. Those in the team who have never had Child Protection training need to chat to me this week so we can arrange a slot and sort this out.
Open Evenings are fast bearing down on us. Do be thinking about what you can offer, as I need to finalise this week. It is a very important time, so all hands on deck please.
Please also remember, if there is support you require, ask. There were some fantastic conversations taking place in the meetings at the start of term, and I want these to continue - working together, ideas, being creative. Strangely enough, this is a music department!!
Finally, I know Year 10 are causing issues, as many have to have lessons on rotation. Please 'box clever' with this, and make the rotation as big as possible. Perhaps, if you are in on more than one day, move the day each half term? The concern is that if it is too disruptive, they will give up!!
Have a great week.
Mark
